Starfish
1993: A star(fish) was born in Hanoi, Vietnam.
1995: I arrive in the US and spend my childhood in suburban New Jersey and visiting my grandparents in Philly.
2005 ~ 2010: I become enamored with being online, playing Yahoo Games and chatting on AIM/IRC.
2010 ~ 2011: Summer internships at the Department of Defense at Picatinny Arsenal in the finance and engineering department during high school.
Founded the FIRST robotics team 4361 at Roxbury High School.
2012: Graduated high school.
Theme: Early fascination with technology.
Octopus
2012: Moved to Boston, MA to attend Northeastern University.
Founded the League of Legends club, ushering in the future of eSports on campus.
2013: Interned at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University.
Wrote software for the motion capture lab.
2014: Interned at Digital Lumens.
Wrote software for diagnostics and reporting for light fixtures and my first exposure to full stack development.
Studied abroad in Iceland for volcanic and geological studies. Got to camp around the island! (it was my first time camping)
2015: Studied abroad in Ireland for studio art. Made acrylic paintings and performance piece titled “Hazelnut Nipples”.
Interned at America’s Test Kitchen.
Wrote software for the network of food-centric sites. Participated in taste tests and developed an interest in recipe methodology.
2016: Interned at Chirp Microsystems.
Wrote software tools for MEMS testing and 2016 CES demo featuring the ultrasonic sensor to enable 6-DOF tracking with the Samsung Gear VR controller.
Theme: Exploring different environments.
Swordfish
2017: Graduated Northeastern University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
Moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and started at Apple as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
2018: Began powerlifting training at the Apple Park wellness center.
2020: Moved up the stack to Product Management at Apple.
2022: Competed in my 1st powerlifting competition and placed 1st.
2023: Competed in my 2nd powerlifting competition and placed 1st.
Moved to Austin, TX to support our team’s expansion at Apple.
2024: Began my dedicated yoga practice starting with Bikram yoga.
Attended a yoga retreat in Bali. Reconsidered my life path.
Theme: Honing my craft.

2025: Moved back to San Francisco, CA and left Apple to start my entrepreneurship journey.
